Questions we often get asked

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we get from clients.

Will it be Brian and Pam who photograph our wedding?

Because we place so much emphasis on our rapport with you, we personally shoot every wedding we book. This does mean, however, that only one wedding is booked on any given day. That, together with the fact we only book a limited number of weddings each year, means that key dates are always in high demand.  Brian will also be the key designer when it comes to your wedding album. Our books and albums are custom designed for your photographs.

What style of photographer are you?

Our style of photography is modern, relaxed and natural but that’s not the whole story: We are great believers that professional photographers must be able to change style throughout the day. Pam’s coverage of the Bridal preparations will be informal with classic detail shots. Coverage of the ceremony takes the form of a respectful documentary, which captures the emotion of your intimate moments.  Family group shots are in essence more formal, although we use our modern and relaxed style to ensure that even these photographs have a contemporary look. Iconic signature shots of the bride and groom record the love you share. All this, together with candid moments captured throughout the day, helps us to tell the unique story of your wedding day.

What areas do you cover?

Being based in Lincolnshire we are handily placed to cover venues in the East Midlands and Yorkshire, but our clients have taken us all over the UK.  Distance is not a problem.

Do you stay for the speeches?

We typically stay until just after your first dance, so cover the whole of your day within our standard charge.

How long do you need for Photographs?

We appreciate that wedding photography is a big investment. We want to be able to give you the best photography experience without taking over your day. The photo session after the ceremony would typically include a full group shot and formals of the immediate family. This lasts around 30 minutes. We would then love to have another couple of 30 minute sessions with just the bride and groom, to use your chosen location and create those iconic signature shots. (One of these sessions could be after your wedding breakfast.) If we are given a 2 hour window for photos then we can do all this without rushing, while still allowing you time to be with your guests.  These are the kind of details we discuss with you at your pre-wedding shoot.
